One of my comics was included on this year’s COIL- Monmouth College’s annual student creative works magazine. I’m honored to share the page with my good friend, Will Terrill, whose poem ‘We Have Had Rain For Three Days’ is just wonderful.

Been back home for five days now. Sad and happy about being here. I am sad to be away from such a beautiful city, country, family, and friends but am happy to be back for those same reasons. I had an amazing time and have no regrets, I learned so much and am so excited to see where my life goes from here. I am very happy that I was able to see my art professors, friends at Monmouth and my best friends from high school; its very nice to talk to people who are interested in my trip.
I set up an art studio in my basement and learned how to play the harmonica this morning. Pretty amazing instrument and I am very excited to learn more. Plan to work on some art this winter, lost a semester when I was abroad, but an very happy to get back into my work again.
Well I had the most amazing time of my life…so far.. here. The people I met on this adventure were amazing, unique in their own ways, and perfectly beautiful people. I feel so blessed and lucky to be apart of their memories here and hope to make more memories with them all soon. The people really made this trip great for me. I can go back home now content and satisfied with everything that I experienced and learned.
Tonight a bunch of us went to happy hour and talked, toasted, and cried. It was beautiful and you could see the love there. Then had my last real Italian dinner and my host mom made each one of us our favorite dish, it was perfect.
Leaving tomorrow morning and am so excited to see my family, puppies, and my wonderful Fiance. I am so happy to be back to him, but I know I will miss Italy very much - we will have to come back =)
