One of my comics was included on this year’s COIL- Monmouth College’s annual student creative works magazine. I’m honored to share the page with my good friend, Will Terrill, whose poem ‘We Have Had Rain For Three Days’ is just wonderful.

New Adventure

Been back home for five days now. Sad and happy about being here. I am sad to be away from such a beautiful city, country, family, and friends but am happy to be back for those same reasons. I had an amazing time and have no regrets, I learned so much and am so excited to see where my life goes from here. I am very happy that I was able to see my art professors, friends at Monmouth and my best friends from high school; its very nice to talk to people who are interested in my trip.

I set up an art studio in my basement and learned how to play the harmonica this morning. Pretty amazing instrument and I am very excited to learn more. Plan to work on some art this winter, lost a semester when I was abroad, but an very happy to get back into my work again.

Well I had the most amazing time of my life…so far.. here. The people I met on this adventure were amazing, unique in their own ways, and perfectly beautiful people. I feel so blessed and lucky to be apart of their memories here and hope to make more memories with them all soon. The people really made this trip great for me. I can go back home now content and satisfied with everything that I experienced and learned.

Tonight a bunch of us went to happy hour and talked, toasted, and cried. It was beautiful and you could see the love there. Then had my last real Italian dinner and my host mom made each one of us our favorite dish, it was perfect.

Leaving tomorrow morning and am so excited to see my family, puppies, and my wonderful Fiance. I am so happy to be back to him, but I know I will miss Italy very much - we will have to come back =)

I had a great last weekend, celebrated my 22nd birthday in the Netherlands with my roommate, Anica, and one of her friends. We met a lot of really nice people, relaxed, talked. Went to Amsterdam on Friday, walked around, went to a coffee shop, walked through one of the many sex museums, and saw the red light district - strange. I had a good time, it was a nice way to spend the end of the semester, right before finals week.

Twenty-one was an awesome year for me, lets hope twenty-two is better.

I can not wait to see my three lovely sisters. I have missed them so much and have so much to tell them and give them. Bought them all gifts and can not wait to give them their presents. I miss having them closer, i even miss the little fights over clothes. I have been very blessed by God to have them as my sisters and friends; without them I don’t think I would be the person I am today. All the stories we have together, our matching laughs and smiles, and our love we have for each other is like no other love I will ever experience in my life. Love you Tay, Annie, and Emma.
